Representatives of Strășeni Police Inspectorate Strengthened Their Knowledge in Personal Data Protection

On July 3, 2026, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized a training course for employees of the Strășeni Police Inspectorate (IP), as part of the training plan for subdivisions of the General Police Inspectorate for 2026, approved by the CNPDCP leadership and the General Police Inspectorate on January 28 of this year. The activity is part of joint actions by both institutions to enhance the professional capacities of police employees in personal data protection and to promote correct and uniform application of legislation in their daily activities. The training aimed to develop participants' practical skills regarding the legal processing of personal data in their duties, as well as to strengthen an institutional culture based on responsibility, integrity, and respect for fundamental rights. Key conclusions include the need to integrate data protection principles into the daily activities of IP Strășeni employees, apply appropriate security measures to protect managed information, and reinforce each employee's responsibility in respecting data subjects' rights. CNPDCP will continue implementing training programs for subdivisions of the General Police Inspectorate, contributing to the development of institutional practices compliant with national and European standards in personal data protection. Through strengthened inter-institutional cooperation and ongoing training, CNPDCP aims to increase compliance with legislation and build public trust in how authorities process and protect personal data.
