Statement

The police department, in order to provide accurate, precise, and objective information to the public, as well as to prevent the spread of misinformation about the movement of the suspect, announces that based on the information and evidence collected so far, the suspect Mihailo Nikolaevič Shabunin (30) has had his movement restricted to the municipality of Herceg Novi. According to the evidence available to the police, the suspect is currently in the territory of Herceg Novi, for which strong police forces have been deployed, including members of the Regional Center for Security "South," the Special Police Unit, and the Special Police Unit, with the support of a Montenegro Army helicopter used for displacing members of the Special Police Unit, as well as modern technical equipment and other capacities. The police are actively working to precisely locate and apprehend the suspect, and according to the information collected so far, the suspect was transported from Podgorica to Herceg Novi by taxi. We appeal to the citizens of Herceg Novi to be especially cautious and to immediately provide the police with any precise and relevant information that could assist in locating the suspect. The police department will timely inform the public about all verified information of importance for the safety of citizens.
