Updating the List of Regulated Professions Important for Alignment with EU Legislation

Organized by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue and the project "Center for Strategic-Legal Counseling for Montenegro" (PLAC), funded by the European Union, in Podgorica on the 15th, the training gathered representatives of competent institutions and members of the working group involved in the process of revising and updating the List of Regulated Professions, aiming to improve knowledge and strengthen capacities for applying European standards in this area. Opening the event, representatives of the Ministry highlighted the importance of regularly updating the List of Regulated Professions as one of the obligations arising from the process of aligning national legislation with EU law. During the training, obligations stemming from Article 59 of Directive 2005/36/EC and the results of previous PLAC project support in the revision of the Regulation on the List of Regulated Professions were presented. PLAC expert Irena Bačelić led working sessions where participants analyzed existing solutions, exchanged experiences in implementing the current Regulation, and identified challenges faced by institutions in updating the list. Through interactive discussions and practical work, participants had the opportunity to provide comments and suggestions for improving the working draft of the List, contributing to a more quality and efficient final adoption process.
