Data Protection Training Course Organized for Representatives of the National Agency for Communications Regulation

Today, October 5, 2026, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized a training session on personal data protection for representatives of the National Agency for Communications Regulation (ARCOM). The purpose of the training was to inform and familiarize ARCOM employees about the new legislative changes in the field of data protection, Law 195/2024 in force since August 23, 2026. The main topics covered included principles of personal data processing; data subject rights; data protection impact assessment (DPIA); prior consultation; data protection officer (DPO); cross-border data transfer, and other relevant subjects. During the session, the CNPDCP trainer provided explanations and practical recommendations regarding the application of the new legal provisions, emphasizing the importance of respecting data protection principles in organizational activities. Examples and practical scenarios were also presented to facilitate understanding and correct application of legal requirements, including identifying risks to the rights and freedoms of data subjects and adopting measures to mitigate them. CNPDCP encourages public and private entities to pay increased attention to personal data protection and to ensure continuous training of employees in this field.
