Improvement of Inspection Oversight and Environmental Challenges Focus of Minister Butorović's Visit to Danilovgrad Municipality
Minister without portfolio and President of the Coordination Body for Inspection Oversight Coordination and Monitoring Milutin Butorović, along with his associates, visited Danilovgrad Municipality today for a working visit, where he met with Mayor Aleksandar Grgurović and his team. The main topic of the meeting was more effective coordination and implementation of inspection oversight in the territory of Danilovgrad, with a special emphasis on solving decades-long environmental protection and wastewater management issues. During the constructive discussion, the participants agreed that inadequate wastewater discharge is one of the key ecological challenges that directly affect the quality of life of citizens and the preservation of natural resources in Danilovgrad. Minister Butorović emphasized that synchronized work of state inspection bodies, within the jurisdiction of the Coordination Body, and local services is crucial for establishing order in the field. Mayor Grgurović expressed gratitude for the visit and openness to cooperation, highlighting that local self-government is making efforts to address critical points. He underscored that support from the department and the Coordination Body is vital for implementing concrete measures to stop illegal wastewater discharges and protect the Zeta River and its environment.
