Police in Budva Detain Two Persons, One of Whom Is an OIL; Seized Five Packages of Cocaine and 53 Tablets from the List of Narcotic Drugs – Communication Devices and Money Also Confiscated

Officials from the Budva Department of Security, in their efforts to detect and suppress drug abuse, detained two individuals, one of whom is an operationally interesting person (OIL). They found and confiscated five packages of cocaine and 53 tablets from the narcotic list, as well as communication devices and money suspected to be proceeds from drug sales. Intervention officers from the same department stopped a motorcycle on Mainski Put Street in Budva, driven by B.V. (54) from Budva, with A.V. (49) from Cetinje, residing in Budva, as a passenger. During the search, they also found and seized two more PVC packages of cocaine, a digital scale, and the 53 tablets. The individual was detained on orders from the higher public prosecutor in Podgorica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics. Additionally, during the weekend, the Budva Department of Security filed eight misdemeanor charges against eight other persons for possession of narcotics for personal use, in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Drug Abuse. The police will continue intensive activities aimed at detecting and combating crimes related to drug abuse and other criminal offenses, focusing on dismantling organized criminal groups, operationally interesting persons, and their associates to reduce crime and improve citizens' safety.
