Open registration for funding
[Same text in English ENGLISH] Do you have a valuable idea in the field of network and internet technology, and are you looking for financial resources to make your idea possible? Annually, the Stichting spends approximately two million euros supporting strategic initiatives for the open information society, particularly for the development and popularization of open standards and (network-oriented) open source technology. This ranges from software development, standardization work, and educational material development to security tools and support for digital civil rights activities. An important condition is that any software resulting from a project must be made available under an recognized open source license (GPL, BSD, Apache, etc.). Projects requiring significantly more budget than is possible within the open registration of NLnet are advised to make an appointment with one of our staff to discuss the possibilities. Currently, several dozen projects and organizations receive financial support, including the research lab NLnet Labs, Unhosted, Lantern Project, Calligra Suite, WebODF, AbiWord, Serval, Jitsi, 0cpm, and Internet Society.
