Physical attack during the Župa Local Community Council meeting – suspect detained on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violent behavior

Officers of the Nikšić Security Department, acting on a report from an injured person who was physically attacked during a meeting of the Župa Local Community Council, took measures and actions within their jurisdiction and, on the orders of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić, detained B. (55) from Nikšić on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violent behavior. At around 5:20 p.m., the Duty Service of the Nikšić Security Department was informed by an injured man from Nikšić that B. had physically attacked him during a meeting of the Župa Local Community Council in Miolje Polje. Due to the injuries sustained, the victim was transported to the Nikšić Medical Center, where it was determined that he had suffered minor bodily injuries. After reviewing the facts collected, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić determined that B.’s actions constituted the stated criminal offense. He was detained on suspicion of committing the offense and, together with a criminal complaint, brought before the competent state prosecutor for further proceedings.
