Traffic Police Have Already Registered More Traffic Violations Across Montenegro Using New Radars; Offenders Will Receive Notices of Violations at Their Home Addresses in the Coming Days

Modern radar devices for speed control have recently been put into use at various locations across Montenegro to improve traffic safety and more effectively monitor road users. The new radar control system automatically registers speed violations without the need for police officers to be present at the control site and without stopping vehicles. The radar independently detects vehicle speed, records violations, and documents the incident with photos and videos, including vehicle registration plates, make, and model. If the vehicle owner was not driving at the time of the violation, they are obliged to inform authorized police officers within eight days about the identity of the driver, as per applicable regulations. The goal is not only to detect and penalize violations but also to prevent accidents, reduce severe traffic incidents, and create a safer traffic environment.
