European Union Continues Support for Agriculture Cooperation: Payment Agency Provided Vehicles and Additional Equipment

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Vladimir Joković and Director of the Payment Agency for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries Marko Radonjić today received the ambassador of the European Union in Montenegro, Johann Sattler, and the deputy head of the cooperation department in Montenegro, Liselotte Isaksson. The visit was related to the handover of vehicles purchased under the IPA project – 11 2021 "EU Support for the Agricultural Sector in Montenegro." The procurement of vehicles and other equipment, valued at 470,000 euros, enhanced the technical and logistical capacities of the Agency, especially in the fieldwork of inspectors. The EU ambassador in Montenegro, Johann Sattler, emphasized the importance of the tangible support provided by the EU to Montenegrin institutions in improving administrative and technical capacities in agriculture. Support through this significant project, financed by the European Union, exemplifies EU-Montenegro cooperation in strengthening institutional capacities and creating conditions for more successful implementation of joint policies and standards in agriculture. The upgraded equipment and logistical capacities of the Payment Agency will contribute to higher quality field inspections, increased security of the information system, and further strengthening of a transparent and reliable support system for Montenegrin farmers.
