Data protection of personal data in the attention of public officials with special status within the 'Ștefan cel Mare' Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized on September 8, 2026, a training session for public officials with special status within the 'Ștefan cel Mare' Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), on the topic 'Regulations regarding personal data protection upon the entry into force of Law 195/2024'. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the capacities of public officials with special status within the 'Ștefan cel Mare' Academy of the MAI by familiarizing, sensibilizing, and informing them about the new regulations in the field of personal data protection. The training covered main provisions focused on principles applicable to data processing, legal grounds, data subjects' rights, and operator obligations, as well as records of processing activities. It also addressed aspects related to informing data subjects, processing of special categories of data, transmission of personal data to third parties, retention periods, and technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure data security. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, participants gained a better understanding of how legal provisions apply in concrete work situations. The training also emphasized that personal data protection is the responsibility of every employee who has access to such information within their duties.
