Confirmed the identity of Hasan Klapuha, the handover of mortal remains follows

Although there was no combat activity on the territory of Montenegro, the perpetrators of this crime have not been brought to justice and have not been held accountable. The mortal remains of three murdered family members of the Klapuh family were buried inappropriately and without markers in Nikšić. Through testimonies of conscientious individuals and work by the Commission for Missing Persons of the Government of Montenegro, exhumation of the Klapuh family remains was carried out. Last year, confirmation of identification was obtained for the remains of Ferida and Sena, and now confirmation has been received for the remains of Hasan Klapuha. The confirmation of Hasan Klapuha's remains is another important step in fulfilling our obligation to the victims and their families. After more than three decades, Hasan, Ferida, and Sena Klapuha will finally be laid to rest with dignity, as every family deserves to see their loved ones off. The Government of Montenegro and the Commission for Missing Persons remain committed to continuing their work with expertise and responsibility to clarify all cases of missing persons, because the truth is a debt owed to the victims, their families, and society as a whole,
