Collaboration between educational institutions, government agencies, local self-government, and civil society organizations of great importance
It is an integral part of the basic rights of members of minority peoples, but at the same time it represents part of the shared wealth of our society, said Arben Xhurreta from the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights at the opening of the "School of Identity and Cultural Heritage" program in Gusinje. Language and culture can be preserved and promoted in the long term only if new generations know, nurture, and recognize them as an integral and natural part of their identity and everyday life. Therefore, cooperation between educational institutions, government agencies, local self-government, and civil society organizations is of exceptional importance for creating sustainable mechanisms for the preservation and promotion of cultural and linguistic diversity. The director especially expressed gratitude to the organization "Horizonti i Ri" from Ulcinj for their continuous and dedicated work with youth, as well as for the initiative to contribute through this project to the acquaintance, connection, exchange of experiences, and preservation of cultural heritage of different regions. The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights will continue, within its competencies, to support initiatives that contribute to the improvement and promotion of minority rights, the preservation of their languages and cultures, and the creation of new opportunities for active youth participation in social life. Director Xhurreta expressed confidence that such initiatives will continue to contribute in the future to strengthening mutual understanding, respect for diversity, and the preservation of Montenegro's rich cultural and linguistic heritage.
