Open registration for funding
[Same text in English ENGLISH] Do you have a valuable idea in the field of network and internet technology, and are you looking for financial resources to make your idea possible? Annually, the Stichting spends approximately two million euros supporting strategic initiatives for the open information society, especially for the development and popularization of open standards and (network-oriented) open source technology. An important condition is that any software resulting from a project must be made available under a recognized open source license (GPL, BSD, Apache, etc.). Within two weeks after the deadline, you will hear whether your project meets all the criteria set by the Foundation, and then we will start working to select the best projects based on the criteria mentioned above. Projects requesting significantly more budget than is possible within NLnet's open registration are advised to make an appointment with one of our staff to discuss the possibilities. Currently, several dozen projects and organizations receive financial support, including the research lab NLnet Labs, Unhosted, Lantern Project, Calligra Suite, WebODF, AbiWord, Serval, Jitsi, 0cpm, and Internet Society.
