Meeting of the Coordination Body for Managing the Digital Transformation Process Held

Opening the meeting, General Director for Infrastructure, Information Security, Digitalization, and E-Services Dušan Polović emphasized that digital transformation is one of the key priorities of the Government of Montenegro, and its successful implementation requires strong inter-institutional cooperation, continuous coordination, and active partnership with the economy and international partners. The meeting reviewed progress in implementing key activities in the field of digital transformation, with a special focus on strengthening inter-institutional coordination and implementing strategic development goals for a digital society in Montenegro. The minutes from the previous meeting were adopted, and representatives of the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce presented the eKomora digital platform, a tool that contributes to improving electronic services and more efficient communication with the business community. It was highlighted that the Coordination Body, through the expert contributions of its members, strengthening inter-sectoral coordination, and cooperation with the academic community, business sector, and other relevant partners, will make a full contribution to drafting a new strategic framework for digital transformation, fully aligned with European standards. The session emphasized the importance and role of the Central Population Register as one of the key infrastructural projects for developing interoperability, improving electronic services, and successful digital transformation of public administration. The Coordination Body confirmed the continuation of intensive work on implementing digital reforms aimed at creating a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-accessible public administration, in accordance with Montenegro's strategic commitments on the path of digital development.
