Planting Trees Marked 35 Years Since Montenegro Declared an Ecological State

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Montenegro's declaration as an ecological state, the Institute for Education, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Examination Center jointly highlighted the importance of environmental preservation and the role of education in developing ecological awareness. At the initiative of the Institute for Education, Earth Day was marked by planting three magnolia saplings in the shared courtyard of the Institute for Education, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Examination Center. Director of the Institute for Education Raba Hodžić emphasized that celebrating 35 years since Montenegro declared itself an ecological state is an opportunity to remind us that ecological awareness is not just a matter of knowledge but also responsibility and daily behavior. "The symbolic planting of trees for us in the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation represents an opportunity to express our belief that the greatest steps in developing awareness about the importance of nature conservation are actually made in the classroom, where children learn to protect what belongs to all of us. Therefore, we will continue to support and develop education that fosters responsibility, love for nature, and awareness of the world we leave behind," said Svetlana Drobnjak, General Director of the Directorate for Preschool and Primary Education in the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The Examination Center, as an institution contributing to the education and development of youth, also aims to promote a responsible attitude towards nature and the values we should nurture for future generations," said Trivić.
