Criminal Complaint Against Montenegrin Citizen for Suspected Smuggling of a Work Machine Worth About 2,250 Euros

Officials from the Border Police Sector have filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, following the prosecutor's order, against Č.A (45), a Montenegrin citizen, suspected of committing the crime of smuggling. He does not possess documentation for the trailer – the trailer, while for the winch of the brand "Krpan," he had a receipt from a company in Nevesinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina, indicating that the price of this work machine – a device for pulling and extracting loads – amounts to 4,400 convertible marks (approximately 2,250 euros). The person, vehicle, and the mentioned work machine – the winch – were handed over to officers combating cross-border crime at the Border Police Station II Plužine. He evaded customs control measures over the goods – the work machine purchased in another country, and the mentioned winch was transported or smuggled into Montenegro outside the border crossing. Officers from the cross-border crime suppression unit informed the State Prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, who ordered a criminal complaint to be filed against Č.A., suspected of committing the crime of smuggling, and that the mentioned work machine – the winch, which was smuggled into our country, be temporarily seized.
