Start of Works on the Adaptation of Sports Fields at JU OŠ "Mileva Lajović Lalatović"

On the occasion of the start of works, the school was visited by Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation; Zoran Jojić, Minister of Sports and Youth; Marko Kovačević, President of the Municipality of Nikšić; and Milorad Šutulović, Director of the Center for Sports and Youth Promotion (NGO CAMS). "When we renew school sports fields, we not only create better conditions for physical education classes, but also encourage children to be more active and to adopt the right values that sports carry from an early age," said Jojić. Marko Kovačević emphasized that he is particularly pleased that the project "Let the Ball Be Heard" includes three schools in Nikšić, as the adaptation and modernization of sports grounds will significantly improve conditions for students' stay, classes, and sports activities. He believes that the reconstructed sports field will be a place for gathering, socializing, and developing new sports talents, as well as an additional incentive for children to spend more time engaging in sports and maintaining healthy lifestyles. The project includes JU OŠ "Radojica Perović" and JU OŠ "Vuk Karadžić" in Podgorica, as well as JU OŠ "Mileva Lajović Lalatović," JU OŠ "Ratko Žarić," and JU OŠ "Luka Simonović" in Nikšić. Planned works include the adaptation of sports surfaces and the installation of new sports equipment and furniture, aiming to create safe, functional, and modern spaces for physical education classes, sports, and daily recreation of students.
