Ibrahimović and Sinirlioglu on Enhancing Cooperation and Future Partnership Model between Montenegro and OSCE

Minister Ibrahimović thanked the Secretary General for his personal engagement in strengthening dialogue and the functioning of the Organization in challenging international circumstances, noting that Montenegro remains a reliable and constructive partner of the OSCE. The conversation highlighted satisfaction that, after years of institutional stagnation, an agreement was reached on the OSCE Unified Budget, with expectations that consensus on the Organization's future chairmanship will soon be achieved. Minister Ibrahimović emphasized that the OSCE Mission has been an exceptionally important partner in implementing reforms and strengthening democratic institutions over the past twenty years, with the results achieved serving as the best confirmation of successful cooperation. He pointed out that Montenegro is now in a fundamentally different phase of development, marked by significant progress in the European integration process and the preparation of the Accession Treaty with the European Union, confirming its status as the most advanced candidate for membership. The Minister underscored that Montenegro remains committed to close cooperation with the OSCE, confident that the partnership will continue to develop through appropriate cooperation models, based on mutual trust, open dialogue, and shared values. Regarding current international circumstances, he highlighted the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful conflict resolution, emphasizing that these principles underpin the OSCE's role in maintaining peace, security, and stability.
