Minister Joković with representatives of the World Bank: Continuing strong cooperation on projects of strategic importance for Montenegro

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Vladimir Joković, along with his associates, held a meeting today with representatives of the World Bank Group, during which they confirmed an exceptionally successful and ongoing cooperation and discussed projects currently in the implementation phase, as well as new projects in preparation. Attending the meeting on behalf of the World Bank Group were Xiaoqing Yu, Director for the Western Balkans, Liang Wang, Head of the World Bank Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, Denis Mesihović, Senior Operations Officer, and Maja Murišić, Senior Environmental Specialist. Minister Joković welcomed the representatives of the World Bank Group and especially congratulated Liang Wang on assuming the position of Head of the World Bank Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, expressing confidence that his mandate will bring new energy and further strengthen the already excellent cooperation. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management currently has the largest investment portfolio of the World Bank Group among government ministries in Montenegro, which is a result of successful project implementation, professional institutional work, and long-standing trust. Besides the CRFASD project, the meeting also discussed other important projects within the cooperation with the World Bank: it was assessed that the broad portfolio of projects confirms the World Bank's confidence in Montenegro's capacities and the results achieved by the Ministry. The representatives of the World Bank Group expressed gratitude to the Ministry for the productive and very successful cooperation so far and confirmed their readiness to provide full technical and financial support as needed to ensure smooth and successful project implementation.
