Centralized payroll system covers 37,000 employees; inclusion of healthcare institutions planned by year-end
Following the adaptation of the system to the specific requirements of payroll processing at the Ministry of Defence, infrastructure preparations, data migration, testing and trial payroll runs, approximately 2,200 additional employees were connected to the system in September 2026, bringing the total coverage to 413 entities and approximately 37,000 employees. Upon completion of the planned activities, the Centralized Payroll System is expected to cover approximately 450 entities and around 46,500 employees by the end of the year. This would represent an increase of 303 entities, or 206.1%, while the number of employees covered by the system would rise by approximately 35,367, or 317.7%. Further expansion of the Centralized Payroll System is an important step toward modernizing public financial management, standardizing payroll processing and improving the efficiency of the public sector. Completion of the remaining activities will create the conditions for achieving the operational objective of the 2022–2026 Public Financial Management Reform Programme concerning the establishment and full implementation of the Centralized Payroll System.
