Strongly condemn threats and pressures on tourism inspectors

The Ministry of Tourism fully supports tourism inspectors who, especially during the summer tourist season, have increased workload and responsibility in monitoring compliance with regulations and protecting the interests of tourists, citizens, and the tourism industry. Inspection oversight is a demanding and responsible job that involves daily fieldwork and dealing with various situations. Any form of threat, pressure, or violence against tourism inspectors and other officials performing their duties must be taken seriously. The Ministry of Tourism stands behind its inspectors and will not tolerate endangering their safety and dignity while performing official tasks. We are all obliged to contribute within our roles to ensure the tourist season proceeds smoothly and to promote responsible behavior that enhances the most important economic sector in Montenegro.
