List of Candidates for the Thirteenth July Award
In 2026, the jury compiled a list of 26 proposals for the annual Thirteenth July Award, which from a formal-legal aspect meet the conditions for awarding this recognition. Up to three Thirteenth July Awards can be awarded annually, with only one award in each field. The award is given to a citizen or resident of Montenegro, a group of persons, or a legal entity based in Montenegro, for results of exceptional importance to Montenegro achieved in the year preceding the award, in areas such as cultural and artistic creation, sports, natural and social sciences, economy, ecology, or for works or achievements in all fields of work and creativity that contribute to the development and affirmation of Montenegro. The list includes: Dr. Sonja Tomović Šundić, a full professor at the University of Montenegro; Braho Adrović, a writer and journalist, and teacher of Serbian-Croatian language and literature; Dr. Ivan Martinović, PhD in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering; Dr. Lenka Blehova Čelebić, PhD in historical sciences and philology; Prof. Dr. Nikola Vukčević, film director and university professor; Nemanja Potparić, Master of Arts in music – accordionist; the International Women's Club of Montenegro (IWCM); Branka Bogavac Le Comte, academic, professor of Russian language, Master of Slavic studies; Dr. Snežana Dragićević and Dr. Snežana Vuksanović, doctors of biological sciences; Srđan Mrvaljević, dipl.ecc., certified judo coach with IJF license.
