Warning – phishing campaign misusing the name of CKB Bank

We are warning the public about an ongoing phishing campaign in which an unknown actor is distributing malicious emails misusing the name of CKB Bank. The message contains a malicious attachment and is designed to make the recipient believe it was sent by a CKB Bank employee. The aim of such messages is to persuade users to open the malicious attachment, creating a risk of malware being downloaded and executed, as well as potential compromise of devices and information systems. Phishing attacks of this type can also lead to the theft of personal and financial data, unauthorized access to user accounts, and financial loss. We remind citizens and organizations to exercise particular caution when opening emails containing attachments or requests to provide sensitive information. Even when a message appears to come from a credible institution or company, the sender’s address and the authenticity of its content should be verified.
