Public Consultations Held on Environmental and Social Instruments for the Water Services and Climate Adaptation Project of Montenegro (WASEC)

The Water Services and Climate Adaptation Project of Montenegro (WASEC) is being developed in partnership with the World Bank and is implemented by the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and the North (MERS) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management (MPŠV), through the National Project Implementation Unit for Utility and Environmental Protection (PROCON), which will serve as the Project Implementation Unit (PIU). As part of the project preparation and in accordance with the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and the North and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management conducted public consultations from the 16th to the 31st of the month regarding the mentioned documents. All interested citizens, institutional representatives, local governments, experts and scientific community, NGOs, and other interested parties were invited to submit questions, comments, and suggestions on the published documentation, as well as to attend the central public discussion and presentation of the environmental and social instruments held on the 29th of the month, during which stakeholders had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the project documentation, provide comments, suggestions, and questions.
