Identified and Detained Person Suspected of Serious Theft in a Church in Brezine

Officers of the Nikšić Police Department identified, found, and, upon the prosecutor's order in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, detained D.T (27) from Nikšić, due to suspicion that in December last year, at the expense of the Holy Nikola Church in Brezine – Plužine Municipality, committed a criminal act of serious theft. He forcibly opened the entrance doors of the mentioned church in Brezine and stole money from inside the building, which worshippers left as a donation. The suspect was, along with criminal charges, brought before the public prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić. After hearing his statement, the prosecutor ordered detention in police facilities until the arraignment before the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Nikšić. Subsequently, a decision was made to impose a 30-day detention, after which the individual was transferred to the UIKS in Podgorica.
