Ulcinj: Border police discovered 20 kg of tobacco in vehicle trunk; criminal complaint against person transporting tobacco for illegal trade
Officials of the Border Police Sector found and seized 20 kilograms of tobacco suspected to be obtained for illegal trade. Officers of the Border Police Station in Ulcinj conducted a control at the Vladimir – Ostros crossroads in Ulcinj on a passenger Volkswagen Golf with Ulcinj license plates, driven by S.Đ. During the inspection, two nylon bags were found in the trunk containing 40 transparent bags with shredded tobacco weighing 0.5 kilograms each – totaling 20 kilograms of tobacco, for which the person did not possess documentation of origin, as the trade of this goods is restricted and controlled. The event was reported to the state prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj, who stated that in the actions of S.Đ., police officers from the Ulcinj Security Department will, upon the prosecutor's order, file a criminal complaint against S.Đ.
