Public Consultations
This project represents the first phase of a ten-year multi-stage program approach (MPA) designed to transform the water sector in Montenegro as support for the country's EU accession process. The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and the North Development, along with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, are nominated institutions for implementing the Project on behalf of the Government of Montenegro. During the consultations, the following documents related to environmental management and social issues, prepared for the Project, will be presented and discussed: These documents define procedures, mitigation measures, stakeholder engagement arrangements, workforce management requirements, and land purchase principles (if any) that will guide the implementation of investments within the project, in accordance with the World Bank's environmental and social standards (ESS1–ESS10).
