Vice President Koprivica at the International Public Administration Day Celebration
Vice President of the Government for the political system, judiciary, and anti-corruption Momo Koprivica participated in the celebration of International Public Administration Day, organized by the Ministry of Public Administration, and presented special awards to recognized civil servants. In his address, he welcomed ministers, representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic corps, and international organizations, emphasizing that we celebrate International Public Administration Day—a day that highlights the role and importance of public administration in the functioning of the state, as well as the responsibility we all share in its improvement. An efficient and responsible public administration means, among other things, reducing business costs, lowering barriers to market entry, and providing a secure and predictable environment for economic decision-making, leading to the conclusion that sustainable economic growth cannot be achieved without an effective and responsible administration. For a country that is not territorially or population-wise large, an efficient and accountable institutional system, free of corruption, is one of the main comparative advantages on the international economic stage, and as a priority of national policy, we must strive for it. In this context, this is an opportunity to especially emphasize and affirm the fact that the Ministry of Public Administration has a significant impact on enacting systemic laws that should ensure a stable, predictable, and professional framework for administrative work. On this day, I want to once again commend the reform efforts of the Ministry of Public Administration and congratulate the awarded civil servants, who have strengthened and promoted the state through their work and professionalism.
