Vojska Crne Gore continues to assist citizens! In Andrijevica, road breakthrough works underway as part of the initiative "Army at your doorstep"
As part of the "Army at your doorstep" initiative, members of the Engineering Company of the Army of Montenegro are engaged in the village of Konjuhe, in the municipality of Andrijevica, where they are conducting works to break through a local road, aiming to enable road connectivity and access to houses that previously lacked adequate transportation links. Today, members of the Engineering Company and local residents were visited by Deputy Prime Minister for security, defense, fight against crime, and internal policy Aleksa Bečić, Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, and Chief of the General Staff of the Montenegrin Army Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović, who familiarized themselves with the progress of the works and discussed with citizens the importance of this activity for the daily life of the local population. "The results we see today in Andrijevica confirm that the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro, beyond their regular missions, successfully fulfill their third mission, providing direct support to citizens and the development of local communities." "The greatest value of such activities is the fact that they leave behind tangible results that facilitate people's daily lives." He assessed that the completed works are of particular importance for the residents of this area, emphasizing that nearly 40 kilometers of local roads have been reconstructed, providing easier, and for some, the first access to their homes after decades. The Minister stated that the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro will continue to support local communities through their third mission and within available capacities, especially in the northern part of the country, with the aim of improving living and working conditions for the population. Reconstructed sections include Trešnjevik–Lisa (4 km), Trepča–Studenci (2.4 km), Previa–Bjeljega (4.5 km), Stavna–Božići (13 km), and Oblo Brdo (5 km), where reconstruction is still ongoing, totaling approximately 30 kilometers of local road infrastructure restored.
