Budva police, in cooperation with Bar police, identified the suspect who caused a fire on an Audi Q8 in Budva within a few hours

Officials from the Budva Security Department, in cooperation with the Bar Security Department, quickly clarified the incident of intentional arson on an Audi Q8, which was poured with gasoline and set on fire in front of a hotel in Budva. Around 23:30, the fire service was notified about the fire at a hotel parking lot, causing significant material damage. Officers from the Budva Security Department immediately took operational and tactical measures and, in cooperation with Bar security officers, identified S.R. (31) from Podgorica, residing in Bar, as the suspect who poured gasoline on the Audi Q and set it on fire, causing the fire to spread to a nearby Škoda. Today, based on a search warrant issued by a Kotor Basic Court judge, the police searched S.R.'s apartment and other premises. After criminal processing and upon order from the competent public prosecutor, S.R. was detained on suspicion of committing a serious offense against general safety related to causing general danger. During the search, a small amount of green plant material suspected to be marijuana was found and seized, and the prosecutor in the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was notified.
