Info Day Held Under the Title “COST Programme: Opportunities, Networking and Mobility”

An Info Day entitled “COST Programme: Opportunities, Networking and Mobility” was held at Plantaže in July, with the aim of informing research staff about the opportunities offered by the programme in international scientific cooperation, networking and researcher mobility. The presentation was delivered by Martina Lukić, MSc, the national coordinator for the COST Programme, who presented the programme’s structure and objectives, as well as opportunities for researchers to join existing COST Actions and the process of preparing new ones. Particular attention was devoted to supporting young researchers, especially through international mobility, participation in scientific workshops and the implementation of Short-Term Scientific Missions. Drawing on specific experiences and results achieved, she highlighted the importance of participating in international research networks for knowledge exchange, strengthening scientific cooperation and researchers’ professional development, particularly in the early stages of their careers. The event was intended for the company’s research staff, with the aim of bringing them closer to opportunities for joining international research networks, establishing cooperation with researchers from other countries and improving their professional and scientific competencies. The COST Programme is an important instrument for strengthening international scientific cooperation, connecting researchers and exchanging knowledge, and its opportunities are particularly significant for developing research capacities and internationalising scientific research activities. Informing researchers about available support mechanisms and encouraging their active participation in international initiatives contribute to strengthening research potential and creating conditions for greater involvement of Montenegro’s scientific community in the European Research Area.
