Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting 2026

The Minister of Energy and Mining Admir Šahmanović met today in Japan with Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Takuo Komori, ahead of the Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting 2026. During a brief bilateral meeting, opinions were exchanged on strengthening Montenegro-Japan cooperation in energy and the importance of new technologies for energy transition. Šahmanović thanked for the invitation for Montenegro to participate in the ministerial meeting and emphasized the importance of direct dialogue with Japanese partners, especially at a time when the two countries are opening space for more intensive energy cooperation. The meeting also discussed possibilities for future cooperation in energy, with mutual readiness to develop concrete joint initiatives through further communication. The meeting was held as part of the Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting 2026, which brings together government representatives and international organizations to exchange experiences and strengthen international cooperation in the development of hydrogen technologies.
