Public Consultations and Presentation of Ecological and Social Instruments Prepared for the Water Services and Climate Adaptation Project of Montenegro

This project represents the first phase of a ten-year multi-phase program approach (MPA) designed to transform the water sector in Montenegro as support for the country's EU accession process. The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and the North, along with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, are nominated institutions for implementing the Project on behalf of the Government of Montenegro. The consultations will be held at 10:00 in the premises of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and the North at the address: Eco-efficient building, Cetinjski put b.b. During the consultations, the following environment and social management documents prepared for the Project will be presented and discussed: These documents define procedures, mitigation measures, stakeholder engagement arrangements, workforce management requirements, and land purchase principles (if any) that will guide the implementation of investments within the project, in accordance with World Bank environmental and social standards (ESS1–ESS10).
