Cetinjanian detained for violent behavior: after physical attack threatened victim with axe, pistol seized during search

(60) from Cetinje suspected of committing a criminal offense of violent behavior against a person from Podgorica. Officers from the Cetinje Department of Security responded to a report from the victim that he was physically attacked by an unknown person after a verbal dispute in traffic. The attacker hit the victim's head, causing bodily injury, then took an axe from his vehicle and issued threatening words before fleeing the scene. The Cetinje police quickly identified the suspect and, after gathering information and upon the order of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje, detained him on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violent behavior. During further preventive activities to prevent violence and weapon misuse, police officers searched the suspect V.M.'s apartment and other premises. During the search, a Zastava Arms pistol, model M88, 9mm caliber, was found and seized, which will be subject to further administrative proceedings with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for permanent confiscation.
