Joint Statement of the Police Department and Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje

Officials of the Regional Security Center "North" in coordination with and at the request of the public prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje have filed a criminal complaint against a minor suspected of committing the criminal offense of causing panic and disorder. The Police Department – Regional Security Center "North" and the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje are undertaking measures and actions, including evidence collection and other procedural steps, in accordance with the highest professional standards, respecting human rights and the integrity of minors. The case files have been submitted to the competent juvenile prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, who has determined that the minor's actions contain essential elements of the criminal offense of causing panic and disorder, and has ordered a criminal complaint to be filed against him. Considering that the suspect is a minor criminally responsible, and that the unlawful actions also involve minors, the Police Department and the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje are currently unable to disclose further details to the public.
