PU: Over 2,600 inspections carried out in less than four months

During this period, a total of 2,628 inspections focused on verifying the legality of business operations, compliance with fiscal discipline, and combating the informal economy. The inspections identified 504 irregularities, most commonly related to unrecorded sales of goods and services, non-payment of market fees, unreported employees, and conducting activities without general tax registration. Based on these findings, 743 misdemeanor orders were issued, resulting in fines totaling 2,528,350 euros. The Tax Administration utilizes all available capacities to ensure that all taxpayers are covered by inspections, especially those identified as high-risk regarding tax compliance. Based on risk analysis, targeted inspections focus on taxpayers who had violations in the previous year and those suspected of not recording sales or issuing receipts to customers. We invite taxpayers to provide accurate data and citizens to report irregularities by calling the Call Center at 19707 or through the platform 'Be Responsible'.
