Preliminary Results of the Study on Teachers' Digital Competencies Presented
The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro, in cooperation with the European Training Foundation (ETF), the European Commission, and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), organized an online event where preliminary results of the study on teachers' digital competencies in Montenegro were presented. The study was conducted using the European Commission's SELFIE for Teachers tool and involved a representative sample of 1,284 primary and secondary school teachers from all regions of Montenegro. The aim of the research was to gain a clearer insight into teachers' digital competence levels, their professional development needs, and opportunities for further enhancement of digital education in Montenegro. The results show that digital technologies are significantly present in teachers' daily work, especially in communication, work organization, and the use of digital resources. At the same time, the study indicates the need for additional support in areas related to innovative teaching approaches, empowering students, developing their digital skills, and applying digital technologies to improve the learning process.
