Put Veruša-Lopate worth 11 million euros: To Lijeva Rijeka in less than half an hour
The new Veruša-Lopate interchange road, valued at around 11 million euros, will significantly shorten travel time between Podgorica and Lijeva Rijeka, allowing access to the area in less than half an hour. After inspecting the works, Minister of Transport Radoš Zečević, Acting Director of the Traffic Directorate Luka Mugoša, and Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović emphasized that the project will improve connectivity between the highway and the regional road network and the Lijeva Rijeka villages. This road also connects to the regional route Podgorica-Mateševo-Kolašin, so a new and functional road link will be available next year, Mujović said, highlighting the area's tourism potential. 'This is just a small step in the direction of what we started last year, with over 20 km of local roads built through Lijeva Rijeka, and we will continue this in the future,' Mujović added. Acting Director Luka Mugoša noted that this is one of the most significant projects of the Traffic Directorate, valued at about 11 million euros. Completing the works will improve traffic connectivity and create better conditions for further development,' Mugoša stated, emphasizing the Directorate's commitment to balanced regional development.
