Montenegro 2030 - From Commitment to Acceleration
The Office for Sustainable Development, in cooperation with the United Nations in Montenegro, has developed the platform montenegro2030.me (https://montenegro2030.me/me/) on the occasion of two decades since Montenegro's accession to the United Nations. The platform consolidates information about Montenegro's partnership with the UN system over the past two decades, highlighting especially the joint efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals from Agenda 2030. Progress is reflected in improving the institutional framework, public policies, and citizens' quality of life, further stimulated by the European integration process, considering that the sustainable development goals are aligned with the European Union's reform priorities. Key priorities include improving the position of the most vulnerable social groups, strengthening the rule of law, enhancing the quality of education, achieving gender equality, accelerating the green transition, and further strengthening institutional and financial capacities for sustainable development. To meet these goals, it is necessary to accelerate reforms and align them with the EU accession process. With strong cooperation among all actors and continuous support from international partners, Montenegro continues to turn development priorities into concrete measures and results, building a more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous society.
