MPNI Representatives at the Regional Trainer Meeting for the UNODC Lions Quest Program
Aleksandra Kuč and Vesna Gajević, advisors at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and national trainers for the UNODC Lions Quest – Skills for Adolescence program, participated in the regional trainer meeting held in Zlatibor, which gathered representatives from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, and North Macedonia. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences gained during program implementation, present good practice examples, discuss challenges in school activities, and plan next steps for further program improvement. Dr. Dejana Bouillet, one of the leading experts in prevention and development of social and emotional competencies of children and youth, also participated. Evaluation results confirmed that the program contributes to the development of students' social and emotional skills, strengthens their resilience, and creates a stimulating and safe school environment. The UNODC Lions Quest – Skills for Adolescence program has been implemented since 2024 in over 60 elementary schools in Montenegro with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), aiming to strengthen students' social and emotional competencies and apply modern preventive approaches in education.
