Pre-trials of border police: automatic rifle, two hunting rifles, and 170 rounds of ammunition found

Officials of the Border Police Sector today conducted intensified activities across all regional border police centers and carried out searches at multiple locations to combat all forms of cross-border crime, uncover and clarify criminal acts, find and confiscate illegal weapons, ammunition, and other items that could be used in committing crimes, as well as prosecute perpetrators. During the operation in the Regional Border Police Center "Sjever," multiple firearms and ammunition in illegal possession were found. In the Plav municipality, during a search of a location used by Ž.R. from Andrijevica, police officers found and seized an automatic rifle with five magazines, two hunting rifles, 170 rounds of various types and calibers, four compensators for an automatic rifle, a gas pistol of the "Blow" brand, all in illegal possession. The state prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Plav was notified of the event, and after necessary expert examinations and collected information, will determine the legal qualification of the act. Border police officers will continue with intensified activities at all levels and in all regional centers, with proactive measures aimed at detecting and prosecuting offenders, suppressing cross-border crime, and strengthening border security.
