Minister Krapović and PPV Bečić laid wreaths in Virpazar on the occasion of July 13 - Montenegro Independence Day
Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović and Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Aleksa Bečić laid a wreath in Virpazar, in front of the Monument of the Revolution, on the occasion of July 13 – Independence Day. During the ceremony, respect was paid to all fighters and citizens who, 85 years ago, driven by ideals of freedom, dignity, and love for the homeland, rose up to defend Montenegro. 'We have returned to where it all began, in Virpazar, in front of the Monument of the Revolution, the place where the first insurgent guns sounded 85 years ago and sent a message of lasting loyalty to Montenegro,' said Minister Krapović. The July Uprising is one of the brightest examples of resistance, courage, and determination to preserve the freedom and national dignity of Montenegro. From those freedom-loving shots to today, when we have a modern Army of Montenegro, one thing remains unchanged: the duty to serve our country and its citizens. On behalf of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro, we extend sincere congratulations to all citizens on July 13.
