Government Appointed 3 Members and Secretary of the Integrity Commission

The government appointed 3 members and a secretary to the Integrity Commission. The appointment of the Integrity Commission represents an important step in strengthening integrity and accountability in the work of the highest executive bodies, as well as in improving the anti-corruption system. This implements GRECO's recommendations related to establishing an effective mechanism for confidential advice to high-ranking officials on issues of integrity, conflicts of interest, gift acceptance, and other matters of legal and ethical importance. In addition to an advisory role, the Commission will have a significant function in organizing and conducting training on integrity and ethical standards, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the integrity culture and more consistent application of good governance principles. This way, Montenegro further aligns its institutional framework with international standards and fulfills obligations from the European integration process.
