Public Call for Participation in Consultation on Draft Law on Construction Products

Based on Article 12 of the Regulation on the Selection of Non-Governmental Organization Representatives in the Working Bodies of the Public Administration and Conducting Public Debate in the Preparation of Laws and Strategies (Official Gazette CG, Nos. 41/18 and 86/26), the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property announces a public call for participation in consulting the interested public regarding the drafting of the Law on Construction Products. We invite authorities, organizations, associations, and individuals (hereinafter: interested public) to engage in the initial phase of preparing the draft law on construction products. The drafting of this law will align national legislation with Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 of the European Parliament and the Council, which establishes harmonized rules for placing construction products on the market and repeals Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, as well as regulate conditions for placing on the market construction products not covered by the harmonized rules of the European Union. The new law will establish a legal framework for implementing new requirements related to the environmental performance of construction products, their lifecycle impact assessment, and digitalization of data on construction products. Public consultations on the draft law will last for 15 days from the date of publication of this call.
