Jakšić-Stojanović: New sports fields in Nikšić for new champions

As part of the program "Let the Ball Be Heard," the adaptation of sports grounds at JU OŠ "Mileva Lajović Lalatović" in Nikšić has been completed, providing students with modern, safe, and quality conditions for physical education, sports activities, and recreation. The program is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Center for Sports and Youth Promotion (CAMS), aiming to improve school sports infrastructure and create better conditions for physical activity and healthy development of children. "I am pleased that the departments of education and sports have excellent cooperation, and that this collaboration has resulted in the wonderful project 'Let the Ball Be Heard,' which has enriched sports grounds in five elementary schools in Montenegro—two in Podgorica and three in Nikšić. After the elementary schools 'Ratko Žarić' and 'Luka Simonović,' it is a pleasure that the elementary school 'Mileva Lajović Lalatović' has also received a modern sports field with all necessary facilities, along with the municipality renovating four fields in urban and suburban areas. The project completion marks the first phase of the 'Let the Ball Be Heard' program, which has improved sports facilities at JU OŠ 'Vuk Karadžić,' JU OŠ 'Radojica Perović' in Podgorica, and JU OŠ 'Luka Simonović,' JU OŠ 'Ratko Žarić,' and JU OŠ 'Mileva Lajović Lalatović' in Nikšić. The program is conceived as a long-term initiative focused on continuously improving conditions for sports, encouraging physical activity and healthy development of children, and creating quality and accessible sports spaces that will serve not only students but also local communities.
