Spajić Announces 'Euro Model': From January, New Wage Growth, Minimum from 1000 to 1400 Euros

In the coming year, the minimum wage for employees with basic and lower education will increase to 1000 euros, for those with secondary education to 1250 euros, while the minimum wage for positions requiring higher education will be 1400 euros. Some countries have underestimated the loss of this resource by entering the EU, bitterly regretting it later when they lost over 20% of their population. Yesterday, we adopted a set of legal amendments in Parliament that fulfill all final criteria of the IBAR process: in just two years, from zero to nearly one hundred percent, completing the technical part of EU accession. Considering that the European Commission has so far approved our country for a total of 89.3 million euros from the Growth Plan, that we are experiencing a great tourist season with visitors from around the world, and that reputable domestic and foreign companies are expanding, we have additional reasons for optimism. This innovative program guarantees that the net minimum salary for workers with primary education and lower will be 1000 EUR, those with secondary education will receive at least 1250 EUR, and employees with higher education will earn a minimum net salary of 1400 EUR per month. All analyses show that in our country, in a very short time, the average net salary will increase from the current around 1,000 to over 1,400 euros – more than in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary, and in our region, only Croatia offers healthy competition, with which we will soon be formally among the best in the European community.
