Nišić: Foreign investors will be attracted by a stable and qualified workforce

Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue Naida Nišić participated today in the National Conference on Human Capital Development, organized by the Council of Foreign Investors and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. The conference gathered representatives from the government, economy, academic community, and international partners to jointly consider key challenges and perspectives of the labor market – from the impact of artificial intelligence and education to retaining youth and strengthening communication within companies. She highlighted significant results achieved by aligning the Labor Law with 19 EU directives, fulfilling all final criteria in Chapter 19, and the unemployment rate dropping to 7.62%. Through the new Employment Strategy 2026–2030, expanding the 'Youth Guarantee' program to all municipalities, strengthening inspection oversight, and continuous social dialogue, the construction of a system aligned with European standards continues. 'Foreign investors will be attracted by a stable and qualified workforce,' Nišić stated. The minister concluded that the full results of reforms can only be achieved through synergy between the state, economy, unions, and international partners, with a clear mission that people always remain at the center of all policies.
