Kordić with French Minister on Sustainable Tourism Development

The Minister of Tourism of Montenegro, Simonida Kordić, met during the Tourism Fair in Paris with the French Minister of Tourism, Serge Papin, to discuss the development of quality and sustainable tourism, as well as opportunities for further enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Papin praised the significant growth of tourism in Montenegro, as well as the increasing international recognition and presence of our country in the global tourism market. He particularly emphasized the importance of Montenegro's presidency of the UN Tourism Commission for Europe, viewing it as an additional opportunity for stronger connections and collaboration in the tourism sector. Kordić stated that Montenegro, through the development of a quality and sustainable tourist offer, aims to further strengthen its position in the international market while deepening partnerships with European destinations. During her stay in Paris, Kordić also met with Michael Dods, General Director of the Normandy Regional Tourism Agency – Normandie Attractivité, to discuss opportunities for further cooperation between Montenegro and Normandy. She recalled the successful cooperation so far and participation in the Business Forum in Normandy last year, highlighting that there is room for further intensification through experience exchange, connecting tourism stakeholders, and developing joint initiatives.
