Nikšić and Pljevlja: Six persons processed in activities to combat drug abuse

Officials of the Regional Security Center "Zapad" – the Security Department of Nikšić and Pljevlja, in cooperation with the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, undertook planned and proactive activities aimed at dismantling street drug distribution networks and suppressing all forms of drug abuse, during which six persons were processed for the abuse of cocaine and marijuana. Police officers from the Pljevlja Security Department, in their efforts to suppress street sale and distribution of narcotics, after conducting criminalistic and forensic examinations, detained A.B. (32) from Pljevlja on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics, upon order of the prosecutor in the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje. Security officers from the Nikšić Security Department, in their activities to combat drug abuse, conducted a control of five persons in the territory of Nikšić tonight: D.J. The individuals were brought to the official premises of the Nikšić Security Department for further criminal processing, where, after measures and actions, and upon order of the prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, criminal charges will be filed against D.J. for suspected violation of Article 26 of the Law on Public Order and Peace – use of narcotics in public places.
